Hope you get to move soon, the pics are pretty. What region of OK are you located? Or going to be located? I'm about an hour south of Okiechick57. Whenever you're ready I'm sure we can all get you some eggs or chicks. Be sure to let Buckguy20 know you're a board member; he keeps track of our okies. Glad to have you here!

Hey Kasi. I'll try to find the thread you suggested. Right now I'm in Broken Arrow (next to Tulsa), but the new place is about 50 miles east of here.

Welcome aboard, I would like to be the first to ADD to you addiction, 60 sqft is enough room for 15 chickens. It is recommended 4 sqft/bird large breeds. Mine are more crowded, but mine freerange all day, so I feel they are only crowded when they sleep. So if you freerange or have a big run you could even have MORE. You havent even got your first and we want you to expand.

15 huh? Oh dear.

I'd love my flock to be able to free range, but it wouldn't be wise where I'm moving. Besides the wild predators; hawks, owls, skunks, coons and possums, there are also, on occasion, marauding packs of abandoned dogs. Poor things. So a very large run is in order, as there's plenty of room.

I had no idea there'd be so many Okies. Must find Okie section.
