I am new to chickens. I had 4 last year for 2 months that got taken by a predator. That was hard. I bought 4 chicksin April 2022, added 2 sex links and an older Americauna.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I enjoy their personalities and of course eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I coach figure skating and am a Water ski show team member.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a daughter and my parents enjoy helping me with the chickens when they can.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
Unfortunately I had a chicken with (what I didnā€™t know at the time) gapeworm. I found your group searching for possible answers to what was wrong with my chicken I found out too late and I wasnā€™t able to help her. Now Iā€™m deworming the rest of the flock and hopefully Iā€™m on the right track. Iā€™ve searched through here and found excellent and caring information and am honored to be part of this community to learn as much as I can.
