I am on day 20 of incubation. I went on lockdown on day 18, and all looked well. But all I have seen since is a little shaking from the eggs...no pips, no cherping, etc. But my humidity & temp has stayed perfect. Just a waiting game or should I have seen more activity by now?

Day 21 is actually hatch day. If you wait one more day, I'm sure you'll see some action. On occasion you might see an earlier hatcher, but not always and also late hatchers on day 22 or 23. Good luck, I know waiting is hard!

Welcome to BYC!

Sounds like you are right on track! They don't always hatch on day 21. Sometime they can be late on the hatching too. So sit back and do some waiting. :)

When they do pip, they can sit there for 24+ hours before zipping out of the eggs. So don't think they need to be dug out of the eggs at this point. They are busy absorbing the last of the yolk and detaching themselves from the inside of the egg.

I know waiting is hard, but it will be well worth the wait when they do hatch. Keep your humidity up around 65% to 70%. Vents wide open and and keep us posted! :)

Thanks everyone...the suspense is killing me! Ha I guess I was just expecting a few cracks or something by now. I will wait & keep you guys posted!

Glad you joined us! Best of luck with your hatch!

I had one external pip last night & 6 total before I left the house this morning... finally heard some cherping!
