Hi, I apologize in advance, I have lots of questions.... Almost 2 years ago I acquired my first 10 chics from TS. I still have 6 of those 10. Luckily they have never had any health issues.
About 2 weeks ago my husband brought me 6 more hens home..... They were not healthy and he was lied to. I've been treating the.m as well as mine for SLM as well as Bumblefoot. They are all doing well except one of the new hens. She suffered a prolapsed vent and I believe an egg broke inside but did come out. I cleaned it up but i can't get her to eat. She is drinking water and i did get a little milk in her.... To top it off half of her beak is missing (she had it rough it would seem) I'm just lost. What is the next step.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
That is bad. I'm sorry that you ended up with birds infected with SLM.
I recommend that you post about the girl with the possible egg broken inside her on the ER forum. If that did happen, she will likely need antibiotics. Good luck with all of them.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens next step save or cull ..
We have a emergency thread I would suggest you post the problem to

Thank you so much for replying. Unfortunately I went to try to get antibiotics and was not able to find any. When I got back home she was gone. I'm so heart broken. She stole my heart the first moment I picked her little frail half beaked butt up..
