Hey! I thought I was on day 19 yesterday! I removed the egg tray and turned the humidity to 72 percent. TODAY is day 19 for my little silkie chicks. Please tell me I did not kill them or they drowned. I’m a hot mess already.

If they are silkie eggs they should go into lock down on day 18 and it is normal not to see pips until day 20 you could do a quick candling to see if you have some internal pips.

Hiya, and welcome to BYC!

They'll be fine I'm sure of it! I hatch gobs and sometimes I'm late too and they only get a day or two of the high humidity. They hatch just fine.

I do five-day lockdowns usually though so if I forget a couple of days of high humidity it's not as crucial.

Yep it's fine. I have eggs that were set a couple of days apart, so some will go into lockdown on day 18 and some on day 16, and that's fine.
