If they are layers, they should be on a good brand of layer feed, with a side dish free -choice offering of crushed oyster shell to meet their calcium needs. Good is not a good choice for them except in very small amounts as a rare treat only.

Glad you could join the flock! X3 a good quality layer feed is best for layers to give them all the nutrients they need. Mine get scratch but as a treat and not the main diet. They have layer feed available at all times in a feeder. Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. The other members have given you some good advice regarding feed. Scratch and corn should be used only as treats and treats should comprise less than 10% of a chicken's diet. Feeding them too many treats will make them fat and unhealthy. It's the equivalent of us eating potato chips and candy bars. Commercial feeds are specially formulated to meet all of a chicken's nutritional requirements. Like the other members have said, hens require layer feed. There are many kinds. 18% and 16% protein in layer feeds are the best to buy. I would recommend nature wise layer feed.
