Hello, I'm Lena from Brisbane Australia. I work as self-employed massage therapist. My mum just got 3 chickens since December. Now they're 7 months old and all hens. My mum got them when they were around 2 weeks old. Luckily that she got all girls. She only pick one with smallest combs and turn out good. We live in suburban area so can't have roosters at all. I don't know what breeds but all I know they're laying eggs every day. My household just have unusual personalities pets. We used to have 2 dogs, a duck and a cat but odd personalities. Duck act like a dog and eat dog dry food soak in water with salads on the side. I got her as a day old duckling so we were thrill that she's a girl. As for dogs one just refuse to eat dog dried food. We have to make some healthy special human foods for dog. He love that. The other one dog we've adopted him together with cat and it was the cat raise him. So he's also unusual. The cat was tomcat so unusual for male cat to raise a puppy and other kittens. Now all of them pass away due old age. So only chickens. The reason I join here because I am truly new with chickens and we just get 2 more don't know boys or girls since they're 4 months old and very quite personalities got bullied by other hens before we took them. Small combs and bodies. They don't dig just eat and lay down and waiting for foods. They don't even show personalities of want to crow or challenge each other. I did post asking earlier and found out they're boys. Still it'll be nice to know what breeds. I got them from my friend's sister. She got 3 of them from her daughter's school just a day old. I just took 2 of them. So if you want to know what they're look like your welcome to check my post.

Welcome to BYC. It's a great site to be on for great information and advice. I hope your flock all gets along well and you get to enjoy them for many years. I have 21 ducks at the moment, a dog, a fish and 2 little house finch birds. I am at my limit, lol.
That's so cuteeee. I plan to get a fish later(after come back from overseas). Just one betta fish. I want to see if I can train him just like those people in videos or not. At first, my mum and I didn't plan to have anymore animals since it was painful to see them pass away. My mum cried for whole month when duck passed away. She technically raised her since a few day old. I only got her from biology class and have her just 3 days. The rest of the time she's with her and our dog. So we decided after we lost last pet cat not to have anymore. But mum just suddenly went and got 3 chickens🤣 now 2 more. But let see if these boys personalities will be normal rooster or not. If they are then we have no choice but to find them a proper home. If they're still act like this and not crow then just let them be.
