new member from CA

Hi, I'm new here from Fair Oaks, CA. I've done (and continue to do) my study and research, the coop and pen are built and the brooder is ready. This Saturday is the Fair Oaks chicken festival. I'm going there for a couple of hours then down to Bradshaw Feed and Pet to pick up my chicks and last minute supplies. I haven't had chickens in over 40 years so this is going to be an adventure! I'm learning so many things and getting so many ideas from this forum. Thanks all!
