Hello Everyone,
I really appeciate this site and all the great people on it. The posts have been very helpful to me since two of my chickens have had a run of very bad luck.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My mother-in-law has chickens. I am their keeper. They follow me whenever I am around (probably because I am often offering them a handful of scratch). They come when I call. My wife calls me the Chicken Whisperer.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
5... hopefully. 2 of them are not faring so well.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Cochons, Ameraucanas, and a Buff Orpington
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Google
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Travel, fishing, hunting, ballroom dancing, martial arts, and reading.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am married to an amazing woman, no kids yet but a great immediate and extended family. My wife and I are both farriers. We have a variety of pets--two lab mix puppies new to the household, five horses, a guinea pig, chickens (of course), geese, and two cats.
