(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? First batch of chickens were given to me as a birthday gift roughly 5 years ago.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 12 hens and 1 rooster

(3) What breeds do you have? Light Brahmas, some mixed, buff orpingtons and golden lace wyandottes

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Pure joy of watching and caring for them

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? 2 Nigerian goats

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have a husband , 2 dogs, 2 children and 6 grandchildren. I am self-employed running a print shop and laundromat/car wash, along with apartments.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? I watched a you tube video and it recommended joining you!

Chickens and mini goats? I think you and I would be great friends!! I bought my acreage when the town where my Nigerian goats had lived in my back yard for four years said they had to go. I went with them, of course!

You can find plenty of reasons to like this community of folks who are always willing to help with problems and cheer successes.
