Welcome to BYC. Well done on the coop and run. I would recommend either hot wire or a wire flange around the base of the run so that predators can not dig in.

Thank you! I am digging down below grade tomorrow with hardware cloth. That’s a good idea regarding hot wire.

Hello and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
You can actually fan out the HC horizontally about 24" and pin down the outer edge with landscape pins and let the grass grow back through instead of going vertical and digging.
