Just wanted to HEY to everyone! My husband and I are newbies and just got our first 3 chicks last friday. We've been reading alot of the posts over the last few months - trying to learn as much as we could before we got started. Ya'll give out alot of great info! We got our chicks from a local feed store, and I'm starting to suspect that we may not have gotten what we were aiming for. We wanted Buff Orpingtons, but out of the 3 - I think we only got 1 (other 2 starting to look like RIR?)[IMG] Oh well, they're all sweet. I may post some pics later so I can get your expert opinions.

About the ultimate identity of your chicks, you will love them just the same, and maybe secretly be glad that it turned out that way. My flock is four Buff Orps, but sometimes I wish I had variety.

    Welcome to BYC!
