This is my 2nd year raising chickens. We lost most of our first flock to predators, a hard lesson on free range. We now have 19 new chicks, mostly ISA browns and sapphires, plus a surviving Wyandotte and Khaki duck from last year. I am building chicken tractors this year hoping to be spared from mucking. My current challenge is design for predictor guards or skirts for the tractors. I’m hoping to learn from others experiences so not to loose any more of our birds.

Hello, Kevin, and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
I put my flock in a 1/3 acre pen behind poultry netting powered with a 10,000 volt charger. I haven't lost a bird in that confinement yet.
