Have had my girls for a couple of years now, after taking a long 20 yr break from our last flock of 3. We have 2 RIRs,known as the Heathers,since they started out as mean girls, 1 Buff Orp (Buffy) 1Wellsummer(Maggie) 1 Americauna(Penny) 3 Australorps (the IndigoGirls). We live in a semi-rural area north of HalfMoonBay,CA. Our hens are just for laying & the pure enjoyment of watching them range in our garden. They're the best! Have relied on this site for issues that come up from time to time, after referencing it in a book. Glad to join you all!
