Where in Mass are you located?
We have a bird club here- it's called Northeast Avicultural Society - you can check the website; meetings are once a month with a swap/sale before each meeting.
If you don't find what you are looking for, members can give you a heads up on who has what you need.
I've bought pigeons and ducks at the tailgate sales- members only to sell but all are welcome to buy.
Also, county fairs are soon to be starting- 4H and adult poultry enthusiasts will be showing and selling - The Big E followed by Topsfield Fair coming up in October. Also Marshfeld Fair on South Shore.
There is a poultry auction on the Sunday following the end of the Topsfield Fair, and the proceeds from consignment fees go to the FFA to fund participation in the national competitions held annually.
Tony DiPaolo of the Dipaolo Pheasant Farm is the auctioneer - he is also an officer in the Northeast Avicultural Society, and long time exhibitor/volunteer at Topsfield. Tony is a great source of help for new poultry owners- his operation in Beverly MA is first rate.
He does a lecture at Essex County COOP in the fall. Located across from the fairgrounds.
