Greetings from verdant North Carolina! I'm brand new to chickens and got my first birds in March of 2025. I have three ISA Browns and three Buff Orpingtons. The browns have started laying, and the buffs seem like they might not be too far behind. We decided to get chickens because we wanted to have fresh eggs to give away to our neighbors in need. It was a fun challenge to build the coop, and very enjoyable to watch the chickens grow from little fluffballs into nearly adult birds. I look forward to participating on this forum and thank you for the guidance I've already received!
