NO...began raising chickens 35+ yrs ago...not new to raising them
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
None lost last of them last fall to either nite owls, maybe land critter, now going to
start again this spring soon as find some mature ones
(3) What breeds do you have?
Usually enjoy raising Barr rocks, Aracauna, Guineas as winter well here

looking for answer for friend who lost cats due to coyotes
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Raise Mourning doves, gardening, planting trees/native flowers, exchanging seeds w/others to plant esp milkweed to attract Monarch's and more Bees for pollunation purposes, photography of wildlife and nature
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Retired ranch owner, 2 outside 15+ yr old mousers, sweet standard Mammoth Burro 25+yrs who does not like coyotes or feral dogs, love wildlife watching migrates here, esp geese, various duck breeds, inc. Blue Heron too, feed native winter birds, track allot of wildlife thru Journey/North migration is lots of fun, sometimes take in rescue horses to help them recover harsh prior conditions, believe it or not enjoy wood gathering to stock up for winter/good exercise to stay in shape, enjoyable really! Just enjoying being retired and the critters, wildlife that are here, feeling fortunate/grateful to live in such a beautiful rural area...reply anytime to chat or ask questions, learned allot after living in the area so long, quite an educational enjoyment for sure am willing to share any sage have learned to do so too!
