Hi there everyone! I am a little late to making my introduction post! My name is Dena and my partner and I are small scale farming/homesteading in Northern B.C. Canada. We keep silkies ( I LOVE silkies!!) as well as Americauna Wyandotte cross hens and Mille Fleur d’uccle. I’ve been a bit obsessed with getting chickens for years ( lived with them before but they weren’t my own) we had been saving and were finally able to get our own property about a year ago to expand growing our own food and have our own little feather babies. We currently have 15 chickens ( our original plan was to have 8 
) . I love chickens for their sweet and individual characters! Aside from gardening and chicken keeping, I am an artist and tattoo artist ( I find people are usually surprised by the combo of my home and work life!) I have tapered back work to just doing guest spots a few times a year while I focus on our farm and home! My fiance ( we were supposed to be married a year and some ago but Covid closed our venue
and some family lives out of Country that we would love to attend ) is a paramedic, hes hoping we will eventually expand to ducks and I’m hoping to get goats next year. It’s nice to meet everyone on here and have a sense of community, my friends can only handle so much chicken talk!Some of these photos are a bit older, when my girls were teenagers 
they dont like sitting still for photos.
