p.s. The gun may look "awesome" but please let him know to stay away from them. I wish I never had to carry one around with me everywhere I go. And I hope and pray everyday that I NEVER have to use it! Playing with my chickens or sitting on the couch with my Silkie (wearing his diaper) is A LOT MORE FUN!
Silkies molt year round so your chances are good for eggs when you get home.
Mine seem to lay best in the winter here in Florida.. As for the incubator vs the chicken that should be interesting
