hi everyone.
I live in the sunny (not) north coast of Northern Ireland and currently have some duck eggs incubating set to hatch next week, all being well.
This is my second attempt at building a lil duck family. Last year I incubated 35 duck eggs, but a ten-hour power cut killed all but 4, then only one survived hatching. We kept him as a house pet, taking him on little day trips to the beach and forests, but sadly he didn’t like being an only child and flew away before I could clip his wings!
Hoping to get at least 2 ducklings this time so they can keep each other company and I will be careful to clip their wings in time.
I also have some chickens but my dad takes care of them as he has more room for them to free range.
