Hi Folks,
Just wanted to introduce myself quickly as you'll be seeing many posts from me as I start my adventure with chickens.
My wife and I just bought a home with almost three acres of land and I intend to make the most of it. We dove into it last week by purchasing a dozen (hopefully) fertilized Guinea Fowl eggs and incubator. Then we found someone selling a small backyard chicken tractor with five layers. We have been enjoying a steady supply of eggs since.
The coop that we bought is extremely small, almost to the point I would consider inhumane. I will build a better, larger coop this weekend, both for them, the Guinea Fowl, and I would like to add to my layer flock.
I will thank you all now for your patience with my questions and your advice and help.
Cheers!
