G’Day from down under Meek.... :frow Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Hey y'all. Although I'm a new member here, I've had poultry my entire life grew up with them, have them to this day. I currently have laying and meat chickens, a few ducks for the kids, a few turkey, and my most recent and most explosive venture has been in bobwhite quail and ringneck pheasants. The first thing thing I am looking to learn here is about the poultry side iof auctions. I have never sold birds at auction before. I will only be selling my quail and pheasants. Not sure how they work at auctions. Are multiple birds sold in lots? Are all your birds offered and people but as many as they want? Any help from y'all about small animal auctions would be greatly appreciated! (Also plan on eventually taking turkey and maybe some other small animals to auction, but that'll be another chapter.)

Might help to know where you are located is this a farm auction or a poultry one..
indoor? outdoor? Welcome to Backyard Chickens -- as you may guess I also grew up on farm and attended many auctions for animals, tractors, farm implements and poultry
to this day I take unwanted birds to a auction in Chehalis Washington state
