Hi all. I have been chicken-obsessed and reading this website for many months now, but we just picked up our first chicks a few weeks ago which are 2 black australorps, 5 silkies (I got a little overzealous with the silkies.. we won't be able to keep them all) and one mystery bantam. We live in a neighborhood in Broken Arrow, OK but hope to buy a bigger piece of land someday. I attached a pic of my garden area.. there is a space in the back that is about 11' by 5' that I'm hoping to use for the coop. I'm so excited to start my chicken-owning adventure!!!
