Hey everyone,

Ive been reading these forums for a few months absorbing all I can. I used to help take care of a small flock of partridge chanteclers a couple of years ago and fell in love with the breed. Im trying to start a flock of the white chanteclers this spring. Im looking forward to having my own flock and contribute to keeping a canadian chicken around. Thanks everyone for contriubuting to this site, it is an amazing source of information.

Chantecleers were bred to handle the Canadian climate extremes Which they do very well. You may want to check out "Canadians, check in here," thread to see if you have any Bycers living near you.

There is also a BYC ,thread called "J'est another day in pair a dice." from a lady that lives in Alberta, has duck, geese, swans, chickens, hair sheep, llama, two Australian cattle dogs AND a breeder of Chantecleer chickens. Her thread is full of information on getting everyone through the weather, etc. She, herself is a store house of knowledge, gardener, cook, and special human being.
