Hello all. I am a stay at home mothers of two. I live on a property that is a bit more then 2 acres and surrounded on three sides by open fields. I raised chickens as a teenager and sold them at local auctions with my mother. When I married and moved into town I had to stop and missed my chickens. Now that I am back in the country I am hoping to get some chickens again mostly as pets and because our family loves eggs.

Thanks for the links. I am trying to read up on all things chicken again while keeping my eyes open for anyone selling chicks in my area. If I can't find any this week I will bite the bullet and just order some from the feed store.

Glad to have you back in the chicken world!! I hope you can find some chicks in your area. It is getting late for spring chicks pretty soon. If you do some chatting in the Canadian thread, you might find members nearby that can locate chicks or know where to get them.
