Hi there,

I found your forum via google last year, looks like a great place! We are first time chicken owners. Bought 50 chicks from Murray McMurray early last fall and now we have a flock of 24 Buff Orpingtons and 25 Australorps. Just finished the coop in time for the hens to move in. They started laying in March and now we are getting 3 dozen eggs a day! Will post pics soon.

lololol, the're laying eggs now! But your chicken choice are both fairly broody breeds! Out of the 25 assorted chickens i ordered from McMurray, only my BO and BA went broody. Do you plan on hatching any eggs when they do glue themselves to the nest?
