Hi everyone! I’m from Central Texas and my husband and I are new to chickens! We started with our first chicks back in March and just got a few more. We have 8 laying hens, 1 that is close, and 5 pullets. We live within the city limits in our town so we can’t have any roosters. We dream to have some land and have more animals but for now we have chickens and two shih tzus! We have all different breeds, one of each almost! 4 Silkies/Silkie mixes, 2 bantam Barnevelders, sapphire gem, production red, welsummer, partridge rock, lavender Orpington, buff Bantam Cochin, Bantam Amerucana, and a barnyard mix that I suspect may actually be a black sex link. I’m currently on the Facebook page but notice my posts don’t get answered as much so I’m hoping to be able to ask questions and get more answers!
