(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
No chickens yet! I am interested in turkeys and have read not to mix the two if you have the possibility of blackhead disease in your area. Too bad, because the property I purchased has a chicken coop and run that just needs a little fixing up!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Horse background. Currently obsessed with sheep herding.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
First-time home owner with an older property that needs lots of attention. I have Border Collies. Then there is my real job =).
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I heard about BYC years and years ago from a horse forum of which I am a longtime member. Finally joined because of the friendly community full of people with hands-on experience who respond to questions with kindness and practicality.
