Hi everyone! I am so glad I found this site! I have been reading your info section most of the afternoon! It's very, very informative!
Years ago we had chickens, a regular flock of 15 mixed hens and 2 roosters, then a flock of 40 cornish rocks (I'll never do that again *smiles*). Now, I am ready to start over again. I am picking up some brand new chicks in the morning (mostly blue orpingtons) and readying things around here this evening. I just love having chickens! We already have one older rooster that wakes us all in the mornings... afternoons, evenings, whenever he wants.. I do want to let them loose during the daytime, as there are way too many coyotes, raccoons and foxes around here to keep them as free range, especially at night. Anyhow just wanting to introduce myself and say hi. I'll be here as often as I can (I work too, and it gets in the way of my fun times). I will definitely be using the info section here, and will post on the boards too
