Hello everyone. New member here from WV. I've been using this site for a while now and finally decided to join. I entered into the world of chicken raising about a year ago with 6 pullets; 3 red sex links, 2 tetra tints, and 1 white leghorn. A few days after their purchase from TSC my father-n-law decided I needed some bantams. So I ended up with 6 more chickens, 3 of which ended up being roos. A year later and I've increased my flock size. By ordering offline I've added some brown leghorns, EE's, BO's and Welsummers; all of which are still in the brooder. Also recently purchased 4 ducks from local feed store. I have to mention I have a wonderful wife who patiently puts up with my chicken hobby. For someone who wouldn't even think of eating a brown egg, let alone one that didn't come from a store, she's been a really good sport. She has no problem eating the eggs now, and appreciates the fact that they are larger and fresher than store bought eggs. Now I've just got to convince her that duck eggs are just as good...

Thank you all for the wonderful advice I've been receiving over the past year.
