Hi all, I am a new chicken mamma. We currently have 4 black star chicks that are 1 week old. I am waiting for some Buff Orpington and Barred Rock chicks in the coming weeks. I wanted to get them all at the same time but it just hasn’t worked out!! Very new but learning everyday!

Hi I’m new to chickens as well. I have 4 Bantams right now, but next month I’ll get 3 Black Stars then in June I’ll get 3 Buff Minorcas. I’m excited. I’m glad you’re here

Congrats on the chicks you have and the chicks you are getting! And, on joining this community of experienced and generous folks who will be happy to help you with any challenges you face as well as cheer on your successes!

I have gotten chicks a few weeks apart, and although I housed them in separate brooders because of the size difference, they managed to become one, cohesive flock as they grew up. Best wishes with yours!
