I’ve used this website for a while to read up on questions, I realised i’ve never actually made an account…!
I’m called Grace but normally just go by G
I have 11 gorgeous duckies, they have their own families they tend to stay together in, one family of calls and then my big ducks all stay together (a runner,bali ducks/crested runners and german khaki pekins) The runners I hatched and raised myself last year, I got my pekin ladies to make sure I had more girls and then the call family started with my 2 original calls (my first own ducks! my grandad had a couple before me, big aylesbury)
My ducks are my pride and joys, Im super lucky to work from home (soapmaking!) and so I get to go out and watch my ducks whenever I need a quiet minute! I got my 2 calls (Deb and Doug) when I was struggling really badly with anxiety and just sitting and watching them really helped me out when I needed it!
I remember coming onto this forum after one of my runners hatched 2 days earlier than the rest - I ended up having to take him out and he lived in the hood of my jumper until his friends hatched, he’s named Russy after Russell Howard as thats what we watched the evening I took him out the incubator! His friends are called Ronnie and Rhubarb, Ronnie is a white crested runner duck, just like Russ (I’m not sure if a crested white runner is the same as a bali duck) , and Rhubarb is a mallardy colouring with white stripes on his face (very very handsome and he knows it)
