New Member.. Hello 🙂 Strange air cell in call duck - day 21

Hi, new member here. We are on day 21 of call duck incubation. We have only done 2 hatches so far so very new to this. One egg has a strange air cell (was fine on last check a week ago). It has grown sideways up the egg & you can see veins inside like it was grown over them. It also moved around when candling the egg. I can see the duckling moving inside & looks like it is trying to internally pip which would be 5 days early. Does anyone know what this could be and does the duckling stand a chance of survival? Thanks

Are you sure it's a 21 day egg? looks like it's not as far developed yet. to me actually it looks like a "fresher" egg but it could be a veeeeeeery large aircel too. The pictures are not completely clear to me.

Are you sure it's a 21 day egg? looks like it's not as far developed yet. to me actually it looks like a "fresher" egg but it could be a veeeeeeery large aircel too. The pictures are not completely clear to me.

Thank you for replying. Definitely day 21. All of the others have pretty much filled their eggs. It’s like the air cell has taken over the egg and is somehow detached but it was fine a week ago. I can see the duckling moving inside but I’m worried about the auto turning as the air cell moves when the egg does. Our first hatches went great with the same incubator and temp & humidity are correct to what the incubator says. I will do some reading on the links you have given me. Thanks
