Not a newbie with chickens...I am not new to chickens we got our first few @ 8 years ago for my children who were still in grade school.
What we have: Currently, we have @ 14 older birds (over 4 years old), 4 pullets (naked necks, silkies) and 10 Easter egger chicks (4 weeks old). We also have 3 older ducks (moscovy, 2 runners) and 2 duckling rescues (3 weeks old)
We have Plymouth Rocks, Leghorns, Welsummers, Sumatra, Easter Eggers, Frizzle, Silkies
Why we got chickens? Having fresh eggs and having the neighborhood children learn about nature in a city environment.
My other hobbies? Food and wine, rescuing animals
Family life? Besides my teenage children, we have 3 dogs, 3 cats, 1 fish, bees, 3 rabbits and our feathered friends.

Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? I was a member way back 8 years ago, but never was involved. I wanted to now delve in deeper into the this community!
