Hi there, my names Maggie, im 26 and I am on my 1st year anniversary of getting into raising chickens
Me and my fiance decided to get some chickens as pets a year ago. So we built our own coop and raised 7 little peeps,
We have 3 leghorns named, Chalk, Westfall, and Yolk
2 Easter Eggers named Veloci, and Raptor
1 ISA Brown Sexling named Mek-Mek
And 1 Barred Rock named Peeper
I have had a blast with my girls and they all are super friendly and sweet. One of my favorite things to do is make them special hanging treats that they can enjoy.
Also having chickens has taught me a lot, i have had to help one who prolapsed and had to help her get better, learning about their behavior growing up. I think im an over-worried chicken mom since I was googling every little thing they did that looked *wierd* such as them sleeping in wierd positions as chicks, stretching out in the sun, dust bathing, all of which are normal but to a newbie came as a surprise.
Anyhow thanks for reading and i hope to see y'all round the forums.
