(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

I have not purchased my chickens yet... But I have a gorgeous Coop made in Amish Country and a 10 by 10 entirely caged area for them to roam.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

I plan on getting 4 to 5 hens. It took 4 years for me to talk my husband into this!

(3) What breeds do you have?

I'm considering bantams because they are small.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

My mother has a flock of 30 to 40 hyphen and she is a member of backyard chickens. She checks it every morning like her social website :)

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

I'm an obsessed Gardner - and I am working on turning my entire acre yard into some sort of Park... with paths and benches. I have two step children that I love building things for - and we are currently constructing a 100 square foot tree house 10 feet up in the air.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I have a dear husband, two stepchildren, and I work as a seamstress and dressmaker professionally. I have a retail shop on the website Etsy... which makes it possible for me to work from home
(which I love!)

I'm happy to be joining the chicken owning community!
