Hello!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've had chickens for about 4 years now!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
8!
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 barred rock
1 Rhode island red
1 buff/goldlaced orpington
1 frizzle
1 silkie mix
1 Rhode island white
1 silver wyandotte
1 black australorp
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Chickens are probably the most beautiful and fascinating animals I've ever known, I just love being able to get to know them.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Most of my free time is spent caring for my chickens and other animals.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
In addition to my chickens I have a cat, 3 rats, 2 budgies, and a cockatiel.
I work as an animal caretaker at a monkey sanctuary.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I've used BYC as a resource for a long time now and finally decided I should make an account.
