Hi, my nameās Natasha! Iām 26 years old. 27 in May. And Iām just here for some learning and exploring.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
-Iāve had chickens off and on since I was about 6 so roughly 20 years inconsistently.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
-I currently have 17 with 15 eggs in the bator.
(3) What breeds do you have?
-Oh goodness..
I have Seramas, an old English bantam, Cochin mix, Brahmas, a game hatch hen, Mille Fleur DāUccles, Road Island Red, laced Wyandotte, Easter Egger, and a few barnyard mixes.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
-I love just watching them, period. They are so comical and make you really enjoy the simple things in life. I also enjoy the eggs for breakfast.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
-I enjoy riding horses and motorcycles. I also love spending time on the river with my family. I like to sew, crochet, knit, and diy projects.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
-I have been with my love for 2 years. We have 4 sassy children, 3 horses, 3 dogs, and some ducks to join our chickens soon. Iām a rural mail carrier in a small town.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
-I came across this forum on google about a year ago and recently came across some questions I feel could be answered best by members of this group; as well as some knowledge I have that I feel could help some others.
