Thanks for the warm welcome!! When I was at the feed store today getting more chick food there was a flyer advertising baby silkies for sale, so I went and picked up 7 cute little babies today! Three of them look like they may be lavender... definitely purpleish feathers coming in. I can't wait to learn more about the genetics of chickens and all the different color combinations! I am hoping my silkies are broody hens because I would love to have them hatch out some eggs in the future. The lady I bought them from had a beautiful flock of just silkies and all her hens were very broody.

The polish are my favorites. They are going through their mowhawk stage right now and you cannot look at them and not giggle a little!
