Hi everyone,
We purchased a house a year ago that had chickens. We always wanted chickens so it was great! We have learned a lot, like we didn't want roosters anymore lol. We learned if your neighbor doesn't come pick up the eggs in two weeks like they say they will do, you will have a broody chicken and then babies. Neighborhood dogs are not our friend. And chickens poop a lot, everywhere, especially in the carport where you want it clean and on the front porch because they like to look in on us. lol So, we currently have 3 of the original hens that came with the house. ((2) Rhode Island Reds and (1) White Leghorn I believe. Two of the babies they we had hatch, now 1 year old ((1) Rhode Island Red and (1) Black Australorp I believe. And 3 new babies ((2) Easter eggers and (1) I cant remember the type but has feathery legs) approx. 2 1/2 months old that we bought from a chicken farmer that sells chicks.
