Hi, fellow chicken enthusiasts! I found this awesome website a few months ago while looking online with a question about our new chicks. I decided to join because I love backyardchickens and want to be a part of the community here.
My husband and I have 18 hens and 1 rooster. We ordered 5 "reds", 5 "browns", 5 "special blacks", 3 white leghorns, and 1 "brown" rooster named Cluck Norris. Our chickens are now almost 5 months old and we are getting 14-16 eggs each day!
We are having a lot of fun on our 16 acre homestead and learning while adding to our new hobby farm (we bought this house in February)! We have had chickens in the past, but it's been years. It's nice to be back into the homesteading lifestyle after years of living in town.
