(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Both lol! My husband and I just bought our first chicks yesterday, but my dad has had chickens as long as I can remember. I've only been marginally involved in their care, mostly just getting eggs from him and feeding occasionally.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? We bought 8 chicks.
(3) What breeds do you have? 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Black Jersey Giants, 2 Wellaborns, and 2 European Fayoumi's
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I'm excited to have a cute coop lol and lots of cage-free, pasture raised, organic eggs
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I love spending time with my family, reading, and working out
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My kids are 20 and 18 so we are almost empty nesters. We've got 3 dogs (golden retriever, lab, maltipoo) and 2 cats...all mostly indoor. My husband is a chiropractor and we own an office in our small community.

I happened across yall when I was searching for coop plans, but also several other sites have referenced BYC so I figured this was the place to be!
