I have had chickens for years, taking next steps into more "serious" chicken husbandry. I applied for NPIP (National Poultry Improvement Program) so I can ship hatching eggs. This opens up new opportunities for learning about chicken breeds, management specific to breed, egg collection, egg storage and finally shipping viable eggs. I want to know more about, when a breed starts laying, how many eggs per year expected, longevity, temperament, and best management specific to breed - foraging vrs full feed confinement. etc, this seems like a knowledgeable community,
