Just saying hi and introducing myself! I have 12 hens and one rooster, and just successfully hatched eight chicks under one of my hens, a mottled Java. I own an Amber-white (also known as Amberlink) hen, which I don't recommend, as they don't lay well. I also have two Delawares, five EE's, two Silver-laced Wyandottes, a Columbian Wyandotte, Barnevelder, and a very handsome Ameraucana rooster, who fathered all of the eight chicks. I'm fairly new to raising chickens, and it's a real learning experience. I found BYC by doing a google search a few years ago, but didn't join until now!
