Thanks everyone for letting me join! Even though when I was a child my grandparents had a "egg farm" and sold eggs from about 1500 hens!! Sold mostly to the public and local restraunts and cafes in the Corpus Christi texas area. This is my first time to raise my own backyard chickens! I built a total varmit proof coop $1300 worth of just material!! I bought one day old chicks. 6 white leghorns and they are now 8 weeks old and just changed them to grower feed instead of chick starter. I have ordered 7 day old domoniques that will hatch July 8th. I should get them by the 10th. I have read and learned a lot here and figure it is time to join the group!! I will have many more questions! Thanks again
