The hunt / wait for chicks continues!
Maybe you could get some fertile eggs and an incubator... of course then you're likely to have males to deal with... they're good eating, though. That may not be appealing to you, but it's an option if you're having trouble finding chicks. They're apparently sold out in many places in the USA.

We found some! Going to pick them up tomorrow. The adventure begins......

The only photo so far on all of them is under the red heat lamp. Got 2 Plymouth Barred Rocks, 2 Rhode Island Reds, and 1 Columbian Rock Cross. The plan for the extended daytime run keeps getting bigger and bigger.
