we got our chickens today. We live in Tulsa.
I said let’s get 3 chickens.
my wife’s cousin lives outside of Mounds Ok. He has chickens and raises them as well as other farm animals.
He said he would give us some.
We prepared an old 40 gallon tank (formerly used by a bearded dragon who now has a better tank.
We ordered a chicken coop that I will assemble and put in our fenced back yard.

we went to pick up the chicks ( I had since decided to get 6) we ended up with 8 little hens (we hope) because my wife couldn’t choose Conley 6 of 8.

they seem happy in their new home.

Welcome to BYC! Sounds like you’re gonna have fun. If you use a heat lamp it can get pretty hot in an aquarium. And yes, build a big enough coop. The bigger the better; same with the run. You will end up with more chickens, they are addictive!
