Hi,
My name is Stacy and I live in Wasilla, Alaska. I have a friend who has chickens, and she told me to check out BackYardChickens.com when I told her were going to try having chickens and ducks for eggs and entertainment. This May my husband and I decided there was not time like the present, so we went down to our local animal swap and got 6 chickens and 2 ducks, and I ordered 5 more ducks off the internet. Two of the ducks are some kind of Khaki Campbell / Pekin hybrid, and the other 5 are all Cayuga ducks.
When we got our chickens, we got them in two separate groups, from two separate owners. The first two we got (Petunia and Daisy) are Rhode Island Red hybrids. The second group is a mix (Poppy, Pansy, Senturia, and Lily). We were told three of them were cochins, and the other one was a silver something (we were really excited about more chickens, and were not paying close attention to what kind of breed Lily is). So, I am now wondering what kind of chicken the silver one is, and I have included a picture.
