In the Brooder
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Weāre new to chickens and got our first four chicks May 2, 2020!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
4 chicks but adding 6-8 more Thursday or Friday
(3) What breeds do you have?
Right now we have leghorns and weāre trying to decide what to add between barred rocks, Rhode Island reds, light brahmas, and Easter Eggers (input welcome!).
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Pets with benefits
My dog is useless 
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
We go on a lot of family hikes, like to read, watch movies, sew
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I have a girl about to turn two. We have one havanese/maltese dog. Iām an engineer turned stay at home mom!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC through some websites when searching for chicken coop plans! I got lost in the hole reading the threads of advice so figured I should join!
