(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am a duck lover and keep a small backyard flock. I started when I bought my first home in 2009 which has a natural creek on the property.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have 4 ducks; however, I am getting 3 ducklings in April to increase my flock size.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I currently have an Ancona, 2 Khaki Campbells, and a Runner/Ancona cross. My new ducklings will be Ancona
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love their sweet nature, cute walk, and am so grateful that they keep my slug population to a minimum.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Flower gardening and landscaping around my house, bread baker, and anything home improvement related. Enjoy bread baking
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Single lady, one mixed breed rescue dog, a horse and a burro, and a lover of all creatures great and small.
